May Town Council passes a motion to work towards Fairtrade status
July we had a stall at the Seaford Fun Day at the Downs
October One World Week Coffee morning at the Little Theatre organised by the Quakers
December First meeting of the Seaford Fairtrade Group
2006
March our first event - a Coffee Morning in Chyngton Primary School March on St Patrick's Day, "Fairtrade Fiesta" and schools poster competition in St Thomas More hall with sung drama presented by Youth.
September on Michaelmas Day, "Fairtrade Fashion Show" in Anecy School Hall
December served free Fairtrade mulled wine at Seaford Late-night Shopping
2007
March "Fairtrade Tasting" and school's Dance Competition at Clinton Hall, Clinton Place
March "Find out more about Fairtrade" with the Adult Education Centre, Seaford Head Community College
July Seaford is granted "Fairtrade Town" status. Certificate presented by our M.P. Norman Baker.
August After a meeting meet to celebrate attaining "Status"
October in One World Week "World Wide Dinner" in St Thomas More Hall
December Free hot chocolate and snacks served at the Late-Night Shopping, in conjunction with the Lionesses

January "Wine Tasting" and AGM in the Little Theatre

March Service at St Thomas More Church led by their Youth Group

March "Bananathon" giving away free bananas outside the Co-op in Broad Street

January AGM with a presentation by Peter Carcas from Sainsbury's, Newhaven Click for Chairman's Report
February "Fairtrade Tasting" (and "Poems") on 24th and "Fairtrade Service" on 28th.
Also members have taken part in a year 9 assembly in Seaford Head Community College in 2007 and 2008 addressed the Chamber of Commerce, conducted Key Stage I and II assemblies in Seaford Primary and Key Stage I assembly in Cradle Hill Schools, presented to the W.I. [by Powerpoint] why Seaford is a Fairtrade town, and what we do. Chairman and Treasurer attended the Souith East Fairtrade Forum in 2007 Seaford is a Fairtrade town
