The Seaford in Bloom Garden Party took place on Sunday 16th July at 1 The Barn House, Firle Road Seaford.  This event, which replaced the usual Open Gardens Day - cancelled this year due to the ongoing local water shortage restrictions - proved to be a great success.

Together with Valuations by Gorringes, Ploughman’s Lunches, Cream Teas, Tombola and Home Made Cakes stalls £860 was raised.  This will go towards the floral displays in Seaford.

Chairman Isabel Stephenson wishes to thank the large number of people who came to support Seaford in Bloom, also her committee and the many volunteers for their hard work in arranging and running the event.

Isabel would also like to thank the two representatives from Gorringes, Andrew Elhinn and Aaron Dean, who very kindly gave their time and expertise to value the  ‘treasures’ brought along by many of the visitors.

She would also like to thank Georgie Wall of Seaford Flower Club for her skilful demonstrations throughout the afternoon, when, despite the wilting heat, she created several wonderful floral arrangements to the delight of all those present.

And finally a big thank you to Tony Lees for his kindness in allowing Seaford in Bloom to use his lovely garden for the day.
