The Seaford in Bloom Open Gardens Day took place on Sunday July 12th and for the second year running was sponsored by Rowland Gorringe Estate Agents.  The recent inclement weather relented for the day and there was an excellent turnout to view the nine lovely gardens on show in the sunshine.  £1,750 was raised from ticket sales, sponsorship, cream teas and plant sales.  

The generosity of the sponsors, the kindness of those who opened their gardens and the enthusiastic support of everyone who visited, is greatly appreciated by SIB Chairman Isabel Stephenson and her Committee as it makes all their hard work worthwhile.  New venues are always being sought to include in this annual event and anyone who is interested in opening their garden in 2010 should contact Isabel. All the money raised goes towards the floral displays in town and, as many people have commented, they are better than ever this year.
