Seaford Waste Forum is a branch of the Seaford Community Partnership, which was founded in 2002, with the aim of finding ways to improve the quality of life for the residents of Seaford.
The Waste Forum began meeting in October 2002, specifically to find and promote environmentally friendly ways of dealing with waste, by reducing the amount of waste we produce, by re-using as much material as possible and by re-cycling or composting what is left. Our motto is REDUCE, RE-USE, RECYCLE.
In 2003, Newhaven and Seaford Town Councils both adopted the Zero Waste Charter.
This means looking at waste as a resource; it means designing products to be re-used or recycled; it means reducing waste and increasing recycling. Zero Waste ensures that products are made to be reused, repaired or recycled back into nature or the marketplace.
