Update March 2010 for Seahaven Trefoil Guild
|
2010 – A BIG YEAR IN GUIDING
|
2010 sees us celebrating 100 years of Guiding with many different events
going on all over the country. One big happening is a gathering on 7th
March of Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section, Guiders and Trefoil
Guild from all over Sussex East at the Brighton Centre to celebrate this
exciting occasion. Seahaven Trefoil Guild will be there with our new
banner.
Meanwhile, for 2010, we have an exciting new programme. After a beetle
drive in January, we climbed Mount Everest with Cliff Dargonne. This
was a most interesting talk with slides which gave us all an insight
into the thrill, hard work and perils of climbing the highest mountain
in the world.
In April, we are looking forward to a talk about the Arboretum and
History Garden in Hampden Park, Eastbourne. May brings us a talk of
Theatrical Reminiscences; June “Whisky Galore”, a visit of the Sussex
Air Ambulance people to our Campsite meeting in July followed by our
Garden Party in August. Kipling’s boy is the subject for September,
Sussex Seashores for October and “A Magical Afternoon” for November.
As usual at Christmas we have a lunch!
Some of will be staying in the County’s campsite for an International
Camp in July and in October we hold our Guild Coffee Morning.
If you are interested in visiting or joining us please contact Rosemary
Heasman on 01323 897959 for more details.
