Who are we?

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is composed of people devoted to learning.  It is a self help organisation with members participating in both the teaching and the learning processes sharing their knowledge, skills and experiences. The only qualification our members need is enthusiasm!  The U3A movement is nationwide and now has (collectively) 228,000 members.

Seaford U3A is a friendly group established in 1989 and we have approximately 350 members.  A good variety of courses is offered plus a social programme which includes general meetings with an outside speaker, pub lunches, country walks, a quiz afternoon and a coffee morning.

We are affiliated with the Third Age Trust and through them our members have access to Summer schools and Seminars at a variety of Universities around the country and they provide links with the Open University.

The annual subscription for Seaford U3A is £10 per year.  There is a small additional operational cost for members joining courses.  Enquiries about membership should be addressed to John Hall, Membership Secretary on 01323 891581.
